A word from our founder

First priority for Tejaswani is to ensure girls' safety and empowerment of marginalized girls. We put forward our best efforts to provide them a safe environment to live life in our society. Everyone has the right to get nutritious food, health, education, entertainment, security, love, belongingness,then why not these girls? These Girls should get all the opportunities which they deserve without any discrimination of caste, religion, creed. Therefore, WE at Tejaswani, put in our best efforts to ensure that these girls get their Right to Freedom, Right to Equality, Right to Education, Right to protection (all the rights) in place from which they are deprived. This goal led to the foundation of Tejaswani Girls Open Shelter Home in Bundi, Rajasthan, India and TejaswaniHome(Balika Grih), Kota, Rajasthan, India. The concept of family and its values has always been the basis of Tejaswani's initiatives, hence our Home-based care was initiated to protect those family bonds, and instill a greater sense of belonging among the children. Tejaswani takes care of all the girls who are neglected in the society, orphans, destitute, children of single parents, surrendered, destitute, rag-pickers, girls living on the pavement, girls' victims of sexual abuse, uneducated girls, girls involved in child labor, escape from home and kidnapped, missing girls who oppose child marriage, are found in such condition anywhere on road, bus stand, railway station, park, hotel, local eatery shops, factory, or any public place. All those girls are presented before the Child Welfare Committee of the district and then with the official orders, they are given proper care and protection inside Tejaswani Home. These children are offered help by empowering them with the mindfulness of education. They are supported through school enrolment, nutritious food, books and the drive to value it. The primary focus has been the retention and sustenance of the children's interest by counsellingthem and providing them safe environment and education.
Tejaswani, is a true home for girls who do not have a safe place to call home.
